Consular Officer of the U.S. Consulate Genneral in Ho Chi Minh City works in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province

On April 18th, 2018, Mr. Edmund M. Ferguson, Consular Officer of the U.S Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City had a working with Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Health in order to discuss some consular issues in case of emergency and learn about facilities of health sector in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

At the meeting, Mr. Edmund M. Ferguson thanked the Government and authorities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau for supporting the U.S. citizens living and working in the province. Periodically, every year, consular officers of the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City would come to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to discuss some issues related to consular affairs of the U.S. citizens such as extension of passport, consular legalization, et.c

The representative of the Department of Health provided some information about medical issues in the province. Meanwhile, a representative of Department of Foreign Affairs said that most of the U.S. citizens well-complied with the Law and regulations of the local Government. In 2017 and the first three months of 2018, there were 325 U.S. citizens getting visa extension and no one violated the Ordinance on Immigration. Ba Ria - Vung Tau leaders and authorities always paid an attention to and provided the best conditions for the U.S. citizens in the province.
